Overview

United Community is seeking an experienced and motivated Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing new data pipelines that support our data warehouse as well as maintaining existing data products that serve the business today. This role involves working collaboratively with project stakeholders, business intelligence teams, and SMEs within the various lines of business.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes to both our Snowflake environment as well as legacy SQL Server
  • Create and maintain data models and databases that support analytical and reporting needs across all lines of business
  • Develop and implement validity checks to monitor and assure data products meet quality thresholds for accuracy and reliability
  • Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and document business expectations and needed deliverables
  • Identify and resolve inefficiencies within production data pipelines
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of architectures, processes, and systems
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements

Requirements For Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building data warehouses and business intelligence solutions.
  • Strong relational database and dimensional modeling expertise
  • Familiarity with ETL Tools and data integration techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, PostgresSQL, or MongoDB
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Data Services, or Databricks
  • Working knowledge of version management processes and tooling such as git
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail

 

  • Preferred Skills:
    • Banking or other financial institution experience
    • Experience with data quality tools and platforms such as DQ Labs
    • Relevant certifications

  • This is a full time, non-remote position

Pay Range

USD $60,466.00 - USD $93,119.00 /Yr.
